About Devorah Bitran

Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Devorah Bitran has many years of experience in the field of higher education. Most recently, Devorah Bitran served as an Assistant Director of Leadership giving officer at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, where she helped to lead the institutional advancement team. She stewarded major giving prospects, alumni, and other potential donors with giving potential of $50,000 or more. Prior to this role, she worked at Harvard University’s Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research. As a Program Manager, Devorah managed a team of up to 15 research associates in developing, coordinating and implementing Program related activities including conferences, seminars, trainings and workshops. Clients included the United Nations, International Committee of the Red Cross, and foreign governments including Great Britain, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland.

Devorah received a bachelor of arts from Georgetown University with a major in French and a minor in Political Science. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from the Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Having long had an interest in real estate, Devorah spends much of her time managing and searching for real estate projects. Currently a resident of Boston, she also enjoys biking, hiking, cooking and is involved with activities at her local temple. Devorah speaks fluent French and Hebrew.
